Sigma Engineering LLC Price Increase announcement
February 11, 2022
Effective March 14, 2022 Sigma Products will see new pricing for the first time in 5 years.
The SIGMA product line is diverse in not only products, but the materials in which they are made ranging from machined metal products to gaskets and even electronic components. This aspect combined with staggering lead times has caused many manufacturers to struggle to meet demands. We have some items where the lead times are over 12 months, and some items where materials to make them have risen over 40%. Therefore, our price increase does not show a fixed or average price increase number. Our volume has helped to defer large price swings in many cases and our inventory capabilities will serve both of us well in 2022.
Commitment to the Customer:In most cases, we carry over 12 months’ supply of inventory on hand. In 2022, orders were shipped on the same day of the PO at a staggering rate of 99.2%. Sigma’s plan is to see our growth from our current customer base adding more of SIGMA’s SKU’s due to our impeccable service, quality, and pricing. An example would be Rotolocks and Service Valves, where we have better service, better pricing and quality!
Product Line Changes
- Supermarket Leak Stopper Cap! – The SE-SCAP-CB45 is now specified by a dozen large supermarket chains and should be a stocked item at most wholesalers. The ¼” SAE Cap features a hex outer shell for tightening with a wrench, and an internal Copper Bonnet built in that does not catch the Shrader valve like the rubber seal tend to do.
- Cap Master Additions – Many caps were added to the very popular CapMaster including hard to find Metric Caps. Sigma is the number source for caps!
- Vertical LL Indicators – Sigma now offers high quality Indicators for VERTICAL applications of all sizes. Self-calibrating and made in the USA!
- Dial Master and Dials – In 2021, Sigma expanded their offering in both replacement dials for LL Indicators and full units for LL Assemblies.
- Cast Iron Service Valves – You now have a source for these at a great price! In STOCK now!!
- DrainMate RTUv-15 – This clever device is a great way to eliminate cracked PVC drain lines on Commercial RTU’s. Get a Sample today
- Strip Curtains – Sigma will exit this business in 2022, due to price instability combined with the direct sellers in the market.

Dear Valued Partner.
All of us at HTPG appreciate and thank you for your business partnership. This extended period has presented both opportunities and challenges for us, our customers and suppliers.

As a result, HTPG will be implementing a general list price adjustment of 11% on equipment, parts, options and warranties. The increase is on equipment, accessories, options, warranties and parts orders received on or after Dec. 6, 2021. Orders that are received prior to this date, for standard lead times, will not be affected.
We truly value your business and are here to serve you and assist you in servicing your customers. As your partner, we want to help your business thrive now and in the future. We look forward to a successful 2022 for all of us.
Sincerely,

Slim-Temp ASLA/ASLE Unit Coolers Excellent New Refrigeration Product
August 3, 2021
Heat Transfer Products Group, LLC (HTPG), manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment sold under the recognized brands of Russell, Witt, Kramer and ColdZone, was recognized for excellence in product design in the 18h annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine. An independent panel of contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 117 entries. HTPG’s Slim-Temp ASLA/ASLE Unit Cooler won the Bronze Award in the Refrigeration & Ice Machines category. Winning entries in the Dealer Design Awards were featured in the July 26, 2021 issue of The ACHR News. To view the article, visit www.achrnews.com.
“We are greatly honored to receive a Bronze Award by The NEWS. The Slim-Temp ASLA/ASLE Unit Cooler marks our sixth consecutive year receiving a Dealer Design Award for product excellence. We are very proud of our engineering team for the innovations they continue to design into our new products for better efficiency, performance, and serviceability,” said Paul Westbrook, HTPG’s director of sales and marketing. “These awards give us an unique opportunity to recognize the outstanding research and development efforts that go into many of the products serving the HVACR industry and the awards issue gives our readers an opportunity to read about innovative installation and service solutions,” stated NEWS Publisher Mike Murphy.
Slim-Temp ASLA/ASLE Unit Coolers are versatile, low height, and compact products that are specifically designed for cooling small walk-in coolers and freezers, and display cases. The slim profile takes up less room and maximizes available shelf space. The units are frequently found in under counter cold displays in grocery stores, restaurants, convenience stores, grab and go displays, plus small walk-in coolers and freezers. The models are compliant with California Title 24 regulations and the new DOE AWEF performance regulations which impact evaporators for Walk-in Coolers and Freezers in boxes less than 3,000 sq. ft.
The units feature energy-efficient Dual Speed EC motors. Fan motors are totally enclosed, permanently lubricated and thermally protected to increase motor life and decrease maintenance. For peace of mind, the motors are also IP67 rated, which means they are protected against dust, sand and water. The smaller diameter tubing reduces total refrigerant charge, and the nozzle type distributor allows use with multiple refrigerants.
For serviceability, electrical connection is at internal terminal blocks located at end opposite refrigerant connections. The improved electrical panel and wiring simplifies installation. The drain pan includes a 7/8” NPT drain fitting installed in the center-rear of the pan for efficient condensate draining, easy field connection, and cleaning. The 3/8” mounting slots aid in proper installation of the unit.
Slim-Temp ASLA/ASLE Unit Coolers are available in two- to six-fan models with air flow spanning from 950 to 2,850 CFM in air or electric defrost configurations for 115V and 208-230V in 60 Hz or 50 HZ operation. Capacities range from 4,600 to 17,300 BTUH. Air defrost models are designed for use in coolers and cases at +25°F. Electric defrost models are designed for use in coolers and freezers at -10°F. Models are UL/cUL certified for use with multiple refrigerants and NSF approved for use in food preparation areas.
